Let’s admit one true fact about ourselves right now. We are always searching for the best diet or training program. We are always looking for shortcuts that can drive us to our dream body, faster.
If this wasn’t true, then there wouldn’t be so much hype and promises around the internet. Right now, there are about 68,700,000 results on Google when I type “lose weight fast”. Let’s not even talk about the “best weight loss program” which holds around 341 million results. So what’s the best diet or training program?
The mother of all, would be “best training program” which would show you around 963,000,000 results. And the sad thing is they are rising each day. I can’t even imagine how many results we’ll find in a few years. Billions. Trillions. But the thing is, it doesn’t really matter.
After you’ll become conscious about NSDT, it will completely change the way you look at diets and training programs (maybe you are already, but you just don’t know it).
How I Failed To Find The “Best” Diet
A few years ago, I remember myself searching for the best diet. I wanted to know what was the best diet in the world so bad, that I invested months in research. I’ve read that in order to lose fat, I would have to take care of what I was eating. So I trashed every food item that was not deemed as clean. Even more than that, I made a list of the foods I was allowed to eat, and foods that were on the banned list.
I was excited about the change I was making. It really felt like I was dieting. That feeling was important for me at that moment. There’s a weird thing happening with our mind when we do something new. We tend to get excited with the “NEW” factor. Nonetheless, a few weeks into the diet, I started to get bored. I was eating the same foods. Veggies in the morning, meat with potatoes or rice, a protein shake post-workout, meat with potatoes or rice. That was the staple of my diet. I know… not very diverse but it was working. Here comes the interesting fact…
Even if that diet gave me more energy each day, made me lose weight, and felt better overall, I was still looking for something better after a few weeks.
That something better we are always after. I felt into the trap of NSDT. I was looking for the next shiny diet. So I started searching for something better. I wasn’t realizing at that time that what I was doing, worked well. In my own stupidity, I wanted more.
I stumbled upon articles claiming that our brain and body functions better on ketones (you know, the ketogenic diet). So I started reading more about that diet. As I was reading about the ketogenic diet, I stumbled upon comments from people saying that this diet doesn’t work as well, and you can’t train as hard because you won’t have any energy without carbohydrates.
From there, I went on Youtube. Bad mistake. The place where all fat loss gurus post their newest discovery. Gurus that tell you carbohydrates or fats are the evil that makes us fat. Gurus that tell us there’s a new magical supplement out there named *insert any less known herb that showed insignificant weight loss in mice (we are not rodents from what I know).
They Want You In
Every “authority” is trying to get us to follow their diet or training program. Why?
If you are not doing this, you are wasting time with other diets
I’ve heard this premise so much that I can’t stand it anymore. Believe me. Carb cycling, High-intensity training, Ketogenic diets, CrossFit, Paleo, Raw vegan, intermittent fasting. They all have something special according to people that promote them. Be it better fat loss, faster muscle gaining, improved health, you name it. One must be better than the other one. There’s no way around.
The thing is, any diet, supplement, or training program, is just a tool. They are tools we can use to go forward in our quest for a better body. Of course, some of them might appeal more to you than others. No problem. Use the one that makes you feel natural doing them. Use the diet or the training program that allows you to be yourself. Use the diet or the training program that keeps you motivated in the long term. Consistency is the most important mental attitude when it comes to building the body you desire.
There are many paths you can take to get to your dream body. There’s no questioning about it. And the reality is that almost every diet works in one way or the other. Just think about it. Let’s imagine this scenario between two people that started dieting:
The first person is the typical yo-yo dieter that starts a diet, follows it for a few weeks, then goes after another diet that promises better results.
The second person doesn’t know too much about dieting and training but somehow, he managed to put his hands on a diet and training program. He follows the advice and gets results slowly but constantly.
Who do you think will win in the long term?
The guy that seeks fast results by chasing the “perfect diet”, or the one that follows a diet and is consistent with it?
The guy that follows the diet and training program that gets him slower results will win in the long term. And that’s ok. He doesn’t have to be a cover model the next day. You have this choice but be ready to invest thousands of dollars in implants, liposuction, and surgery.
The takeaway point for today is that you need TIME.
There are no shortcuts. If you are looking for a temporary solution to weight loss, my extreme diet can help you lose up to 8.6 pounds in just 4 days. The downside is that you can use it just once in a while. It is not a permanent solution.
The only permanent lean body transformation you can do is to construct a diet and training based on your lifestyle.
Train when you can, eat what you enjoy, be consistent, and you will succeed.
Of course, there are many details to talk about when constructing the diet and training program. That’s why I created the permanent lean body transformation program.
I am curious. Tell me the truth. It is important. I want to hear more opinions. Let’s share and learn from each other. Here it goes:
What makes you look for the next best thing?
How can you stop yourself to go after the “next shiny diet or training program”?
Leave an answer inside the forum area or inside the private facebook group. This will help you and me know more about you, and understand what is that it makes you continue to keep doing the diet and training program until you succeed.
